*Makeup Show Giveaway*

As some know already, I attended The Makeup Show on November 4, 2012 and decided to buy an additional "Smoke it out" palette from Crown cosmetics for a giveaway.  I like that this small palette can be used to create bold looks as well as simple ones.  For more additional information on this palette, you may visit Crown Cosmetics.  Along with this palette,

*Orlando Makeup Show*

I had the pleasure of attending The Makeup Show in Orlando on November 4, 2012.  This show was at first for Professionals only, however, I found out that readers were able to attend by mentioning certain blog names.  I attended thanks to Phyrra, which she had a giveaway for one ticket.  I was impressed by all the talented artists that were creating master pieces like the ones below.

The only disappointment from this event was

*Nuance by Salma Hayek*

Over a month ago CVS had a coupon for a free "Nuance Salma Hayek AM/PM Anti-Aging Super Cream" which I just finished using.  The small size of this product lasted around 3 weeks which kept my face moisturized day and night which in my case, it is a must.  This cream is perfect for someone that loves the idea of two in one.  However, this anti-aging cream does not include SPF protection which it was the only downfall.  I also noticed that the cream seems a bit oily at first, but right after application my face felt refreshed.

At this time,

*First Impression at ULTA*

Some say first impressions are everything... are they?

On Monday, I stopped at ULTA for the first time ever since I received a circular in the mail with a 40% discount on selected brands and $3.50 off a purchase of $10.00 or higher.  Honestly, I love love love Sephora since it was pretty much all I knew.  I really enjoyed walking around ULTA and not having anyone follow me as if I was going to steal something.  Oh yes, I went to Sephora a couple months ago in NJ and an employee was following me just because I had a Sephora bag already and I went back into the store since I forgot an item.  I guess she never heard of remembering what you originally went in for once outside the store.  I do that a lot when I go to the supermarket for milk, then buy everything else except the milk.

Now back to ULTA...

*Kohl's Cares*

As most of us know, next month is "Breast Cancer Awareness" and I went ahead and added these items to my wish list from Kohl's.  I know of only 1 person in my family that went through this, however, there are millions of females fighting each day and our small support goes a long way.  Kohl's donate 100% of the net profit to support the fight against breast cancer.  You may find more information

*Shoedazzle Dilemma*

Decisions... Decisions...  Today I received an email from Shoedazzle that I have $15 to spend, plus $39.95 from a previous returned item.  I immediately logged in and found so many new styles which I have posted some screen shots from their website below of my favorites.  I wish I could purchase all of these, but my shoe/heels budget is very limited these days.  I'm leaning more towards "Hurl" since I do not own a pair of tennis shoes with spike accents...

*7 Signs You’re A Shopaholic*

Yahoo finance ran the article; "7 Signs You’re A Shopaholic", on September 14, 2012. I consider myself a shopaholic and decided to check it out.  These are the seven signs according to Yahoo:

1. You have many unopened or tagged items in your closet - Guilty
2. You often purchase things you don’t need or didn’t plan to buy - Guilty
3. An argument or frustration sparks an urge to shop - Guilty
4. You experience a rush of excitement when you buy - Guilty
5. Purchases are followed by feelings of remorse - Guilty
6. You try to conceal your shopping habits - No need, my husband doesn't mind
7. You feel anxious on the days you don’t shop - Not as much as before

This article does point out the obvious, however, there were two things that caught my eye:

*Belle Dangles*

On September 6th, I saw a jewelry organizer via "Open Sky" from "belle dangles" and even though I was looking for one, I wasn't sure if this one was of good quality.  They had a promotion via Facebook to join and get a $35.00 credit towards a purchase.  I guess I didn't read the terms and conditions since I thought, "well I'm looking for a jewelry organizer and a $35.00 coupon will make it free", wrong.

I did get the $35.00 coupon in my account and during checkout there was a message stating that in order to use it, I had to add $15.00 worth of items to the cart. Even though I had to pay out of pocket, I took the chance and purchased the organizer with a second item.

I ordered on Thursday and received it on Monday the 10th.  I am really satisfied with this purchase and the quality of this item.  I recommend it to anyone looking for an organizer since it does fit quite a lot as shown on the pictures below.  I am thinking of purchasing a second one since I have additional jewelry in a different organizer which I no longer want.

*Satchel Briefcase Handbag*

Vintage Satchel Briefcase Handbag

Last month, I was looking online for a new black handbag and came across this one via eBay.  I was a bit skeptical since I previously ordered an item from China and received a different style.  I proceeded to purchase the bag and hoped for the best.

To my surprise, the quality and style is exactly as listed on eBay.  I paid $9.99 for the bag and $12.99 for shipping.  The shipping took almost a month which it was worth the wait.  Due to the way the bag was shipped, there are visible marks on the side and one on the back side which is barely visible at this time.
I am extremely happy with this purchase.

This month's Birchbox includes items that I haven't tried, so this is a plus for me. In the past I have received amazing samples and full size products which I still haven't tried some of them and others I don't really use.  I will be gathering those products soon and just give them to someone.  I will definitely try the blue nail polish today since I'm in dire need of a pedicure.

*Eau de Parfum*

I have been using "Curious" by Britney Spears, "Paris Hilton" by Paris Hilton and lotions from Victorias Secret for years now until I found "Bombshell" by Victorias Secret.

It came in a set which I purchased several ones to gift.  I guess my head count was off since I had two left from the holidays. As I was organizing a month ago I decided to open the gifts and use them.  This perfume in my opinion smells better than "Dream Angel's Heavenly" which I purchased a while back and gave it away.  This scent reminds me of my great-grandmother's garden.  I love how fresh the scent smells.

Have you tried "Bombshell"?...

*Suit it up*

As some know already, I am now living in Florida and with that comes a new life and the job hunting begins. I was looking for a great suit and came across some interesting ones online.  Also, for those that are currently job hunting, make sure that you keep it very simple.  I've included some information below to explain what I mean by "simple".

*Blog Changes*

The name of this blog changed from "In Heels I Trust" to "Beautify Ur Life".  I figured it is a suitable name for it since I not only love shoes, but I love all things beautiful.

Now, I'll need to find a cute header/logo for my page.  If anyone knows of someone that can make it happen, send them my way. For the right price, I'm in. :)

*My Days in Flats*

I'm not the one to wear flats day in and out since my feet will hurt or get blisters.  However, that changed the moment I decided to re-enroll in college.  I wanted comfort and to be able to get from point "A" to "B" without any "epic fails".  My search began online, but decided to just go into stores and try on flats.  I first went to Bloomingdale's and tried on the Tory Burch flats and they were not for me.  I have read reviews on how great they are and so on, but they were not comfortable on my feet.  So my search went on at Macy's, Sears, Love Culture, Forever 21... until I decided to go to Kohl's.
